This week in Seattle: the Seattle Home Show 2
The Seattle Home Show 2 , the nation’s oldest and largest home show, takes over the Qwest Field Event Center in Seattle’s SoDo/Pioneer Square neighborhood October 7- 10 . Hundreds of exhibitors from appliances to cooking demonstrations. Of course there will be the usual hot tubs and fancy garage cabinets you probably can’t afford (the infrared saunas are great to try out on a cold Seattle Fall day though), but it also a great place to see many kinds and styles of windows, heating equipment), and all kinds of new building materials all in one location (including the first time ever New Products Pavilion). I recommend to my clients looking to remodel or build in 2012 to take a trip to the show… ideally a weekday to avoid the crowds.
The Seattle Home Show 2 runs Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Monday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission: $10.00 adults, $7.00 seniors (60+), $3.00 juniors (7-15) under 7 free. E-tickets are available for purchase online at www.SeattleHomeShow.com, courtesy of BECU and Aqua Quip (plus E tickets get you free parking). With “Too much to see – come back for free™”, register as you leave the show for free return admission on one other day (parking not included). ID required
